Overview
Join us for an immersive experience that brings together two compelling documentary perspectives to explore the depth, complexity, and resilience within Black mental health. Through Broken, we are invited into the often-unspoken realities faced by Black men, challenging stigma, unpacking generational and societal pressures, and illuminating the barriers that too often stand in the way of healing. In parallel, Black Female Therapist offers an intimate lens into the lives of Black women in the mental health field, revealing the balance of holding space for others while navigating their own personal journeys toward wellness. Together, these stories create a fuller picture, one that honors both vulnerability and strength, struggle and survival, silence and voice.
This event is more than a screening, it is a space for reflection, connection, and courageous conversation. Through a live panel and guided discussion, we will explore the intersections of identity, stigma, access, and healing, while creating room for honesty, empathy, and community.
